Miss Kim

Owner - Lead Teacher

Having worked in preschool and daycare settings for almost 20 years, Miss Kim is a committed childcare provider. At thirteen, she started working as a babysitter in her neighborhood. Miss Kim spent six years refining her craft and igniting her passion for early childhood development at Anderson Country Preschool in Big Bear. She is the primary caregiver at Ochoa Family Child Care and has held a license for nearly five years. Being a mother of three, Miss Kim approaches her profession with compassion and care. She oversees a group of individuals dedicated to offering a secure, nurturing, and instructive atmosphere, guaranteeing that each youngster has the support and nurturing they require to flourish.

Miss Bev

Assistant Teacher

With more than 30 years of experience, Miss Bev is a seasoned child care provider. She opened the Anderson Country Preschool in Big Bear in 2003; and sold it to Miss Kim's sister, Miss Katie, who currently runs it. Miss Bev ran an in-home daycare for seven years before launching the preschool; it was perhaps during this time that Miss Kim's enthusiasm for childcare was sparked. Along with her career accomplishments, Miss Bev has raised her own five children and taught Sunday school at her Episcopal church in Big Bear Lake, California. Enjoying her retirement, Miss Bev helps out at Ochoa Family Child Care when needed, lending her wealth of knowledge and tender care to our team.

Mr. Raul

Assistant Teacher

Mr. Raul, or Mr. Owl as the kids call him, delivers expertise and passion to Ochoa Family Child Care. He is disciplined and dedicated as an Army veteran. As an IT Technician at Val Verde Unified School District for 15 years, he polished his technical talents and attention to detail. He has four years of youth baseball coaching experience and loves working with kids. Mr. Raul has been a wonderful assistant instructor at Ochoa Family Child Care since October 2019. He also took early childhood studies classes in college to better understand child development. As a father of three, Mr. Raul's loving style and parenting experience make him a valued and compassionate program member.
